As the kids get older, I'd love to participate in more activities on July 4th, but we laid kinda low until our dinner party. I painted the playroom and George mowed lawns. We then headed over to our friends' house. The girls were decked out in their "special alie" (how they pronounced it) shirts that I got on clearance last year. The shirts had been sitting under their bed for so long that I almost forgot to pull them out.
Our friends rented a bouncy house and it was a HUGE hit with the kids. The girls are the ones in the white shirts and jean skirts.

The guys set off some fireworks and the girls loved them. Kate just laid back in the grass and watched them.
