House Update

We are now officially back under contract on the house. We have until July 9th to close. We have full loan approval and the appraisal was supposed to be done this afternoon. So it looks like we are finally moving forward in this process. Just pray for a quick and uneventful closing!

Uh-Oh Spaghetti-o

So much cuteness going on around here...maybe mixed mixed in with some weirdness, too. I'll let you be the judge!

Kate wearing George's ankle socks. They came up to her knees and looked like little casts. My Dad and I about died laughing.

These next 4 pictures are from bathtime. The girls love "swimming" in the tub. Kate actually taught herself how to blow bubbles.

And this first video is of Kate's new word for the day. Well, one of them at least. She now knows Bible and ashes. She very quickly learned how to say "Uh-Oh Spaghettio". You have to listen for it because it's not very obvious except to those who know what to listen for. They also love to powder their noses with makeup brushes.

This last video is from George's alone time with them the other day. Sorry for the darkness. I'm hoping you can at least see faces.

We are still waiting for loan approval on the house. No news there really. Have a great week!

All Smiles

Let's see...what have we been up to lately?

George had a great time on his mission trip to KY. We are really glad he's back home and even got to spend a couple of lawn-free and workfree days with him before he went back to work. We are having major house drama. We are completely out of contract with the seller, but the loan has gone to underwriting. However, now the seller wants $500 in compensation at closing and an additional $50 (I think) per day that we take to close after June 28th. The loan people are saying that as long as the appraisal comes back fine we should be able to close by July 8th. I told George NO! We aren't going to pay this seller any more money. We just don't have the money to do that. You know what the great thing is? I am so frustrated with the entire situation and ready to move out & be on our own again that I DON'T CARE. God has gotten me to a point that I have completely given up this house and if it works, then great. If it doesn't work, then there are more houses out there and He will provide. I love having the freedom just to walk in the faith that God will provide. I'm not at all saying it's easy because it's not. We should hopefully have some answers by the end of today or tomorrow!

Hannah and Kate are continuing to develop into little girls, good and bad. The temper tantrum stage is in full swing. I even get clawed in the face from time to time. I'll leave out names to protect the guilty. With the bad comes the sweetness though. We taught them ring around the rosy the other night and they love playing that. They will even play it between just the two of them. I'll try to catch that on video soon. I took Hannah to get her sinus X-ray and the doctor called to tell us that she actually had a sinus infection. I felt bad that I was completely unaware because her nose was not running at all. The doctor said that was because her sinus was so full and the snot had basically turned into concrete up there. EWWWW. She is now on 5 different medicines, an oral steroid, an antibiotic, 2 allergy medicines, and a nasal spray. Hopefully we will get rid of these sinus infections for good! Other than that though, the doctor said that she has no major allergy.

We borrowed a tent from some friends and the girls absolutely love playing in it. It also came with a tunnel and they love crawling through that. Here are some pictures playing in their tent. I know the pacis are in the way, but they love "cheesing" it up for the camera when it comes out. Enjoy! Kate is in the green and Hannah is in the purple.

Good Thing They are Washable

The girls have a new favorite activity...coloring. Kate decided she wanted to eat the crayons the other day. The only harm it did was mess up her t-shirt, so we'll see how washable they really are.

Kate & Hannah

Alas, I have finally finished reading the "Twilight" series. I am still crazy busy couponing and doing random things. Since the guys were out of town on a mission trip this week in Kentucky, we tried to keep very busy. Sarah and I took the girls to Busch Gardens one day. We put them in the swings. That took a lot of faith because there are no harnesses. We just weren't sure if the girls would actually stay put. They did and they enjoyed it. They also loved playing in the water area.
We have had quite a bit happen in the way of our supposed new house and at the same time quite a bit not happen. Right now, it's kind of a day by day thing. Due to some increasing monetary demands from the seller, we decided not to sign a contract extension. We were not willing to risk losing money for a house that we would possibly not own. Now it seems that the seller and her realtor team is taking us more seriously and is eager to agree to the terms that we were willing to meet. We have a lot of negotiating to do, which is difficult with George out of town. We are exhausted from this whole process. It has taken WAY longer than it was supposed to. We're going to almost 90 days to close on a normal sale house. Absurd, if you ask my opinion. We very eager for your prayers right now. We need clarity and wisdom to either take this opportunity to get out if this is God providing a second chance to get out or to stick it out as the seller is willing to be more reasonable.
Hope you have a great weekend!

How Much is That...?

Puppy...I mean...toddlers in the dog cage? Ruff, ruff, ruff! No, this is NOT punishment. They figured out how to open Sweet Pea's new cage and they can't get enough of it. My Mom cautioned me against posting these because she didn't want me to get reported to DCF, but you can easily see that the door is open and they are smiling.

Along the lines of how much is that...I have some bragging to do. Here is one purchase today from Walgreens. Care to guess how much I spent on 8 tubs of Pampers Wipes, 2 Clean & Clear face wash, 3 hair care products, and 1 Swiffer Wet Jet & refill, and 5 32 oz. Gatorades?
I spent $20.61. I saved $84.62. I saved 80%! Woohoo! I also earned another $7 in register rewards. I will tell you that I had to buy 10 Sunday newspapers to get the wipes for 50 cents a tub. Well worth it though!

And this purchase was from CVS today. I spent $2.88 for 8 boxes of toothpaste.
I saved 90%! Another woohoo! We are actually getting officially trained on these Walgreens & CVS advanced couponing techniques, but I'd say that we aren't doing too shabby for realtively new beginners!

The Latest

So some of you may be wondering why I haven't been posting much recently? There are a couple of reasons. One, we just got back from a 4 day Memorial Day Weekend camping trip.

Kate

Two, I have really gotten into the couponing thing and have been at CVS, Walgreens, Publix, and Target. I usually have one store to hit up once a day. Three, I have a guilty confession to make. Last week I was bored and had to stay home because there was a 4 hour time span that a repairman would possibly show up. I saw a preview for the 3rd Twilight Saga movie coming out soon and thought I would go rent the first one from Blockbuster Express. Despite some friends telling me that it was a really good book series, I never had any interest in reading them...until now. I saw the movie and was hooked. I borrowed all 4 books from the library and then got Sarah hooked as well. I love to read, anyway. I'm not sure that George realized that about me while we were dating and during our first couple years of marriage. I didn't do that much reading. Now that I have more time on my hands while the girls are napping, I have found myself borrowing a lot of books from the library. I am on the third book, Eclipse, now. So that's where I've/we've been. Plus, there really hasn't been too much excitement going on...yet.

Hannah did have her skin test for allergies yesterday. The only thing that she reacted to slightly was cat and oak pollen. We go for a followup in a couple of weeks so we'll see what the doctor wants to do.

The house situation is still unfolding everyday. I think that the loan paperwork is FINALLY going to underwriting today. We're at the point though that we could lose the house. Please pray that all necessary paperwork will go through very fast, we'll be approved, and the seller will continue to have patience with us. Our broker has told us that it now looks like the earliest closing date would be June 18th. I'll keep you updated.
