On a Treasure Hunt

This past weekend, we (George and I) met up with some friends to go to a huge community garage sale. The same one I go to every 6 months. I was a little nervous this time because last time I was incredibly disappointed with my takeaways. Not so this time! I had several things in mind that I wanted and I got almost all of them! The girls L-O-V-E what we (rather they) got.

The story behind the doll strollers. I've been thinking that they are ready for them because they love pushing around my mom's double stroller. They try to manuveur it around the house. I figured a much smaller stroller would be easier. I bought two baby dolls and a (ONE) stroller at the garage sale. I wasn't planning on letting them play with it yet but Kate was in my room and she noticed it. She immediately loved it so I thought I'd let her push it around the house. Great idea until Hannah saw it. World War III at our house. So we had to put it away until I could buy another one. I got one yesterday at Toys R Us for $9. Well worth the extra money. I knew from the beginning that this was just not going to be one of those toys that they would share and I was not going to fight that battle. My mom and I actually let them take their babies for a walk around her cul-de-sac last night. It was the cutest thing. Two little girls taking their babies for a walk. I'll have to get video and pictures next time. I was too busy trying to keep them on the sidewalk and off the road last night. Here are some pictures of them pushing them around the house though.

As far as the house goes, we had the inspection yesterday and there were just a few minor things that needed fixing. The seller is as ready to move out as we are to move in! We are just waiting on loan papers, the appraisal, and the land survey. I have so many ideas for the house and I'm so excited! The countdown is less than 3 weeks!

Princess Kate

The girls got really cute Disney princess nightgowns for their birthday. I finally got to put Kate's on her because it's been warmer and she's grown into it. Hannah has one too. She just has to grow into it. My little 19 month old is still wearing 12 month clothing. It never ceases to amaze me at how my babies are growing into little girls.

Mama & Her Toys

Praise God for tax refunds! I have been having severe wrist pain in both wrists due to the horrible turning abilities of my tandem double stroller. I was basically having to manuveur 65+ lbs. on my own when I wanted to turn. I decided that I was getting a new stroller with our tax money! I wasn't willing to waste my wrists anymore. I researched quite a bit on the internet and asked some other twin moms which ones they liked. I wanted something that was side-by-side, could turn easily, and had good sun shade. George and I visited a couple of stores. I was going to get a full-blown jogging stroller, but those things are heavy. I also tried out a more compact side-by-side, but I still wasn't convinced. We visited another store and they had A LOT of strollers to actually try out. We put the girls in this one and fell in love. The only thing that wasn't so lovely was the price. I admit it. I paid $400 for just the stroller. I thought I had a 20% off coupon but turns out the brand of stroller that I got was excluded from the coupon. Gotta love that. Add together the accessories and we walked out with one expensive stroller. However, I am 99% satisfied with our purchase. It turns beautifully, folds easy, and I know that it will be great on our trip to St. Louis. I would definitely recommend this. It's the Baby Jogger City Mini Double. He is Risen!

In preparation for Easter, I was given the responsibility of cleaning the house. Once you have children, you understand how difficult this can be to get done. It's nearly impossible at this age. Luckily my mom has 3 dusters so I was able to give one to each of the girls and still use one. Here is my little helper Hannah. She loved it!

What an awesome holiday to celebrate! How could you attend a church service, hear the hope of the resurrection, and not be a believer? I helped out at our early service watching preschoolers and then met up with George, the girls, and my parents for the service. George did a great job getting them ready almost all by himself. I promised myself I would get family pictures this year since we missed out on that last year. These were taken right outside our church.

We enjoyed a Lantz family lunch at George's cousin's house. We stayed there for about an hour and a half before we headed home for the girls' (and mine) nap. His cousin has 3 acres and they loved running around in the open grass. They even got a hint of sunburn. Then, we enjoyed a nice dinner with my side of the family. George's parents and Erin and Dru came over to watch the girls "hunt" eggs. Here are the pictures of that:

This is a video of George blowing bubbles at the girls. Kate knows how to say bubbles now and you can hear her saying it a couple of times during the video! Too cute!

The Florida Aquarium

George's dad is back for a long weekend visit. For those of you that don't know, he has been working for Verizon in West Virginia for the last couple of months. It's by choice. They needed some extra workers and asked for volunteers. Anyway, we've missed him and hopefully he'll be home for good at the end of April. (Right, Dad, right?)

We spent the morning with all of the Lantz family at the Florida Aquarium. It's been a while since I've been and the girls have never been. I've wanted to take them but I've been waiting to make sure that they would actually enjoy it. And enjoy it they did! Here are a lot of pictures. Enjoy!
