Another First

This first is not as exciting as most firsts are, but it's exciting that it's been 9 months and we have yet to experience this first. Kate has her first fever. So far the highest it has gotten is 102.5. And, yes, I have mastered the art of taking the rectal temperature. Other than a mild case of crankiness, she seems to be feeling okay. She is also taking an extra nap right now. The first clue that I had that something was wrong was that she woke me up twice last night, once at 3:30 and again at 5:00. She felt kinda warm at 3:30 so I took her temperature and it was in the high 99's so I put her back to bed. She was also trying to crawl in her bed so I thought it may have been a cry it out moment. When she woke me up again at 5:00, I thought she might have been hungry. We previously dropped her dreamfeed so I thought maybe that had something to do with her being hungry so I did offer her a 3 oz. bottle. Did she refuse it? No way, Kate would never refuse food. The moment she starts doing that, I'll know something is really wrong. I put her back down and she slept again until her normal wake time. We'll see how tonight goes.

Here is a picture of the pitiful princess herself. She was swinging away just moaning and groaning. However, as soon as she saw the camera come out, she hammed it up.
I know there was a request to see pictures of our getaway. Sorry...we didn't take any. I wanted to take some but when we went down to the beach, we left our stuff by the hotel pool and we didn't want the camera to be taken. Everytime I mentioned getting a picture, George just kinda shrugged the idea off so none were taken. We did have a great time though! The place that we stayed was a timeshare resort so it was really nice, but we got a great deal on Travelocity. Normally, we would've gone cheaper but I needed a refrigerator for the milk. We basically just hung out. The hotel we stayed at was right on the beach. The closest we got to the water was taking a kayak into the ocean, which is a little scary because there were small waves. George was hoping to go surfing, but the guy at the rental place said that the Bahamas block the wind so the waves aren't very good in Palm Beach. We then hung out by the pool the rest of the day. It did sprinkle a little so we never got into the pool. It was nice and relaxing though. I actually had a whole day where I didn't feel tired until evening time. And then back to reality...what a sweet reality is it though!
